I have always preferred shopping in small family-owned grocery stores over larger outlets. It's a reflection of my upbringing. Starting work at the age of 15, I assisted my parents in running their business after school and during holidays. The connection to these stores, especially family-owned ones, left a lasting impact on me. I understand their challenges and struggles, which is why I continue to support them today. By shopping at these places, I believe I can make a difference.
Supporting local businesses like small family-owned shops, buying directly from farmers, or choosing a local garage for services can have a positive impact. These businesses create jobs, pay taxes, and significantly contribute to the country's budget.
It's good to reconsider our shopping habits from time to time. This is neither integrity nor code of conduct but it is important.
Let's make a difference by choosing to support local businesses.
